Simon Edgley – Regional Managing Director – South East Region
Simon Edgley is the Regional Managing Director of Trinity Mirror Regional media businesses across the South, Central & East. He took on this role in November 2016 from his position as MD of Trinity Mirror Midlands.
As Managing Director he has responsibility for the Trinity Mirror regional newsbrands in West London, Bucks, Surrey, Kent, Essex, Cambridge and Hertfordshire with print titles that have a reach in excess of 450,000 readers and websites with a monthly reach of 6.3m unique browsers
Simon has held a range of management positions within Trinity Mirror’s and has worked in media for 40 years
Simon, 58, is married with 2 daughters and lives in South Bucks.
Mark Sainsbury – Regional Managing Director – Wales Region
Carl Wood – Regional Managing Director – North West & North Wales
Carl Wood is the Regional Managing Director for Trinity Mirror North West & North Wales. Publishers of some of the most respected, trusted, prestigious and award winning newspapers and on-line services in the UK across Cheshire, North Wales, Wirral, Liverpool, Sefton and West Lancashire. The North West region’s portfolio has a combined print readership of 793,485 and 9.1 million unique browsers across 5 sites, averaging at over 600,000 readers per day.
Carl has over 25 years publishing and media industry experience. Carl is also a Director of the Liverpool BID Company, a Trustee of The Big Trust Charity and a member of the Business Advisory Council for the University of Chester.
Carl is 49, married with 2 sons and lives in Southport, Merseyside.
David Simms – Regional Managing Director – East Midlands
From there David re-joined Trinity Mirror before becoming Deputy Advertising Director for the Liverpool Daily Post and Echo.
David relocated in 2000 when he was appointed advertising director to the Newcastle Chronicle and Journal. He became its Commercial Director in 2005 and was appointed Managing Director in 2009.
David joined the Leicester Mercury on August 1st, 2011 as Publisher/Managing Director and in 2016 was appointed Regional Managing Director for Trinity Mirror, East Midlands – Leicester Mercury, Nottingham Post, Derby Telegraph, Burton Mail, Uttoxeter Advertiser, Ashbourne Telegraph, Loughborough Echo and Hinckley Times.
Bob Cuffe – Regional Managing Director – North East
Richard Duxbury – Regional Managing Director – Central & East
Richard Duxbury is the Regional Managing Director of the Central & East Region within Trinity Mirror. He has worked in media for 20 years. In that time he has had various commercial positions within the national press at The Independent and The Financial Times and within the regional press at Johnston Press, Northcliffe who became Local World and now Trinity Mirror.
In his current role he has responsibility for the Trinity Mirror newsbrands across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire and Suffolk.
