Gloucestershire County Cricket Club is one of the 18 First Class County Cricket Clubs in the UK. Established in 1870, WG Grace, one of the most famous and influential cricketers in history was a founding member.
The Club is based in the heart of Bristol, in the Bishopston area, just off the Gloucester Road. Our home and main ground, The Bristol County Ground, is currently undergoing a complete redevelopment which is designed to secure International Cricket at Bristol and transform our facilities for match days and for events on non-match days. A key part of this development is the Bristol Pavilion, which was opened in August 2013. The Pavilion offers state-of-the-art media, conference and hospitality facilities and enjoys superb views of the ground from behind the bowler’s arm. Permanent floodlighting will also feature at the Bristol County Ground for the start of the 2016 season.
Bristol is home to over 17,500 businesses and is renowned for its excellence in knowledge- intensive and creative industries. More than a third of the UK owned FTSE 100 companies have a significant presence in the Bristol area. In 2014 the GCCC First XI received over 95 hours of television airtime providing a huge platform for the showcasing of Partner brands. Airtime was truly global hitting the UK, India and New Zealand.
The Bristol County Ground is the South West of Englands only major sporting venue and your brand will be seen by 65,000 people in-stadia throughout the domestic season.
A major emphasis placed on developing relationships with the local community. Our close partner – the Gloucestershire Cricket Board – is responsible for the development of recreational cricket across Bristol and Gloucestershire. Gloucestershire Cricket also runs community activities at our ground in Bristol and at the Brewin Dolphin Cheltenham Cricket festival each summer.
