Harlow Joins Tall Ships Adventure Challenge to Support YMCA Newark & Sherwood

Catena member Harlow Insolvency Director, John Harlow is supporting fellow member YMCA Newark & Sherwood in the development of the YMCA Community and Activity Village.

John has been invited to join the Tall Ships Adventure Challenge, a round Britain sailing relay organised by the Tall Ships Youth Trust and the Newark and Sherwood YMCA. He will be joining a group of around 80 individuals from Newark and Sherwood to support the development of the YMCA Community and Activity Village.

His leg of the trip, entitled “Investing in our Community”, will be from Liverpool to Greenock via Belfast.  They will set sail in one of the Tall Ships’ 72-foot Challenger boats on 17th September 2019, finishing on 21st September 2019.

This promises to be an exciting experience and undoubtedly a lot of hard work…the Irish Sea can be a hard task-mistress in Autumn!

Both the Tall Ships Youth Trust and the YMCA are fantastic charities and it is John’s hope that you will be able to help him to raise his target of £1,500…if not more.

All the money raised will go to supporting the YMCA Community and Activity Village in Newark. YMCA Newark and Sherwood are a local charity with a passionate belief in young people. The Village will be home to world-class sports, health, education and arts facilities, including integrated programmes, opportunities and employment pathways for families and young people in Newark and Sherwood. It’s 100% not-for-profit and locally funded too.
