Please note that we have made a decision to postpone this event on 6 March 2018. Our reason for doing so is because the Government had earlier in the year announced that new Immigration Rules would be published by the end of November 2017 but then it was subsequently announced this week that the Government will postpone this to the end of the year.
It is important to both to the University, Catena and Paragon Law that up to date information is given on the UK’s immigration law position for EU and non-EU Nationals and therefore we hope that by March 2018 there will be greater clarity and certainty with regards to this.
We will send you an invitation to register on the March 2018 event shortly.
Are you an EU national living, working or studying in the UK?
Are you a concerned business owner or HR professional, wondering how some of your workforce might be impacted in post-brexit Britain? Be one of the first to hear about the government’s latest proposals for EU nationals living and working in the UK post- brexit!
Did you know that many businesses are now hiring international students to assist in business growth and to use this knowledge base to expand into international markets?
Through their local knowledge these students are able to facilitate cross-border research and build bridges for future trade.
At a time when there is uncertainty with regards to the access of the talent pool in Europe post-brexit and the UK’s focus to negotiate trade deals around the world, employing an international student should be considered as part of your international and recruitment strategy.
The University of Derby is delighted to announce that on 6th December at 4:30pm they will host Thalej Vasishta, CEO and senior solicitor at Paragon Law, who will provide the latest details and Immigration Rules to employ international students. In his extremely current and topical talk, Thalej will focus on the following areas:
1. The current Rules governing international students working during studies;
2. Visa categories that allow international students to switch status to work or do business In the UK;
3. The requirements to be satisfied by employers to be able to employ international students and EU nationals;
4. There will also be an update on the government’s latest proposals for EU nationals living and working in the UK post- brexit.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students, businesses, HR professionals and recruiters who wish to address some current uncertainty as well as providing a great opportunity to network with others in the community.
